Fernecito FC's Ezkerra Daque played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Burgo in the 15th minute of play. Felipe Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Ezkerra Daque was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Christian Burgo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Christian Burgo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Vincent Villacanes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mino Laguardia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 48th minute, Christian Burgo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ezkerra Daque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Burgo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute Christian Burgo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezkerra Daque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Rio Septien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. U21 Uruguay's Jeraldo Ompanera was substituted for Gerardo Huera. U21 Uruguay made a substitution. After 79 played minutes U21 Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Jeraldo Ompanera. In the 81st minute, one of Fernecito FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fernecito FC. Asteri Polo scored 3-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ezkerra Daque, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vincent Villacanes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rio Septien in the 87th minute of play. After 88 played minutes Fernecito FC got a freekick which was hit by Micael Inchaurdi. Rio Septien's late challenge caught a U21 Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rio Septien helped the player get up and apologised. Asteri Polo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ezkerra Daque. Fernecito FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ezkerra Daque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Asteri Polo, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute of the match, Henric Monta sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Ezkerra Daque showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. Ezkerra Daque stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Asteri Polo's shot from short distance in the 99th minute. U21 Uruguay were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Fernecito FC for a fine match.
