Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Akram Basem made the kick off which started today's match. Gaafar Mamdouh kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Riad Fahmy was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Perry Dequilla showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Akram Basem managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Egypt's supporters rose to their feet, but Akram Basem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicholas Magadap breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicholas Magadap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Akram Basem in the 17th minute of the match. When U21 Philippines's Ed Quinot in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Egypt's goalie prevented a goal. When Irving Vianzon fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Philippines's protests and gave Irving Vianzon a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, U21 Philippines's Irving Vianzon got a free kick in the 25th minute. U21 Philippines's Nicholas Magadap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Akram Basem in the 26th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Ed Quinot notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of U21 Egypt's Riad Fahmy. Riad Fahmy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, U21 Philippines's Brad Lorenzo got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Gaafar Mamdouh hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 40th match minute, U21 Philippines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ed Quinot to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Philippines's zone, Akram Basem stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicholas Magadap came out of the goal and Akram Basem tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Ed Quinot made the kick off in the second half. Riad Fahmy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ed Quinot in the 59th minute of play. When U21 Egypt's Akram Basem in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Philippines's goalie prevented a goal. U21 Egypt's Akram Basem was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nicholas Magadap in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Nicholas Magadap showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Akram Basem, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After 66 minutes, Brad Lorenzo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Philippines and the U21 Egypt players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, U21 Philippines's Brad Lorenzo got a free kick in the 67th minute. Brad Lorenzo hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. The supporters of U21 Egypt booed when U21 Philippines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brad Lorenzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute Ed Quinot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Riad Fahmy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, U21 Philippines's Nicholas Magadap got control of the ball when Akram Basem tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of U21 Philippines booed when U21 Egypt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akram Mubarak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Akram Basem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the game, Ed Quinot cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Riad Fahmy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nicholas Magadap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Akram Basem in the 91st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Akram Basem in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicholas Magadap saved U21 Philippines from getting behind. 98 minutes into the match, U21 Egypt's goal looked a bit too open when Ed Quinot came free, but Riad Fahmy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The U21 Philippines fans cheered their team off the field, for while U21 Egypt had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
