Nicholas Magadap came out of the goal and Akram Basem tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ed Quinot made the kick off in the second half. Riad Fahmy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ed Quinot in the 59th minute of play. When U21 Egypt's Akram Basem in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a left leg Nicholas Magadap saved U21 Philippines from getting behind. 98 minutes into the match, U21 Egypt's goal looked a bit too open when Ed Quinot came free, but Riad Fahmy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The U21 Philippines fans cheered their team off the field, for while U21 Egypt had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
