In the 16th minute of the match U21 Belgium got a corner. U21 Sweden's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gregorie Lanfan ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Dominik Cappelsmans got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-0. 17 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute Sebastian Ingvall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolaas Vercauteren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. U21 Belgium's Nicolaas Vercauteren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zlatko Ibrahimović in the 23rd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Zlatko Ibrahimović left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Sweden fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Francesco Totti let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 72nd minute shot 1-2 at rihgt post. U21 Belgium made a substitution. Jorge De Spiegeleire replaced Gwen Eggermont.
