After a rather tough play, U21 South Africa's Bomikaze Webb got a free kick in the 20th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicholas Mbule was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, U21 Panama's Azael Peren got a free kick in the 52nd minute. U21 South Africa's Dumisane Koen shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 53rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fernando Sobenis but with some difficulty. Tyrell Mumede took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramón Quiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramón Quiros in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tyrell Mumede prevented the ball from getting in the gole. U21 South Africa's James Thebile got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. U21 South Africa's Tyrell Mumede played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David De Paredes in the 82nd minute of play. After 83 played minutes U21 South Africa got a freekick which was hit by James Thebile. After 86 minutes, Freddie Steyn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched U21 South Africa eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
