Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Róbert Mak kicked off to start the match. After 5 minutes of play, U21 Slovakia's František Totti made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Per Stiig Ostermann was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Julian Müller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. U21 Germany's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when McDonald Hamburger scored to the left of an out of position Per Stiig Ostermann, making the score, 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jordan Hugo in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabian Barthez saved U21 Slovakia from getting behind. Fabian Barthez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Breda in the 27th minute of play. Fabian Barthez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jordan Hugo went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The wind increased when Igor Breda made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute František Totti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per Stiig Ostermann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Per Stiig Ostermann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bela Illés in the 55th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, U21 Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Bela Illés came free, but Per Stiig Ostermann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Per Stiig Ostermann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lukáš Killerup, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. McDonald Hamburger kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. U21 Germany's Arjen Kaessmann was substituted for Hellmut Grevenbrock. The audience was convinced that Bela Illés's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Per Stiig Ostermann was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 69thth minute of the game Julian Müller who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Slovakia's Fabian Barthez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 72 played minutes U21 Slovakia got a freekick which was hit by McDonald Hamburger. 74 minutes into the match, Lukáš Killerup had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Per Stiig Ostermann. U21 Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lukáš Killerup was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lukáš Killerup in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Per Stiig Ostermann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. U21 Slovakia were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after U21 Germany's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Róbert Popík took the corner. 82 minutes into the match, U21 Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Bela Illés came free, but Per Stiig Ostermann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute Bela Illés shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per Stiig Ostermann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on U21 Slovakia's corner Róbert Popík fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Per Stiig Ostermann quite easily take care of the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Raimund Hain was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Germany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Slovakia the free kick. In the 87th minute of the match Róbert Popík sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Per Stiig Ostermann skillfully saved the ball. In the 88th match minute, U21 Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pankraz Stahl to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Róbert Popík managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Slovakia's supporters rose to their feet, but Róbert Popík was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Per Stiig Ostermann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to U21 Germany getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Raimund Hain hit a great ball. In the 90th minute of the match Pavel Nedvěd sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Per Stiig Ostermann skillfully saved the ball. U21 Germany's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
