Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tatu Endira in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andra Dewa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andra Dewa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Araoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 12th minute Tatu Endira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andra Dewa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andra Dewa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tatu Endira went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. U21 Malaysia's Andra Dewa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominic Toretto in the 32nd minute of play. Andra Dewa had in the 37thth minute some difficulties stopping Santiago Ubelteso's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Santiago Ubelteso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andra Dewa. U21 Malaysia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santiago Ubelteso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Andra Dewa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tatu Endira in the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

U21 Malaysia's Yahya Sinulingga was substituted for Ari Sugendo. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yahya Sinulingga made a kick off. Yahya Sinulingga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeo Leguizamón having to interfere. U21 Argentina's Silvestre Blanco was substituted for Ivan Barto. Marian Rivera succeeded in the game's 65th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexis Sanches in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tadeo Leguizamón saved U21 Argentina from getting behind. Andra Dewa made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Ceferino Urbez sent off a good shot on target. U21 Argentina made a substitution. Godfredo Basualdo replaced Apolo Oidor. 87 minutes into the game, Leonard Tarigan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Malaysia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Argentina the free kick. After a rather tough play, U21 Malaysia's Leonard Tarigan got a free kick in the 87th minute. During the 88th minute of the match Leonard Tarigan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Leonard Tarigan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 89th minute, Leonard Tarigan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ceferino Urbez came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the U21 Argentina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ceferino Urbez couldn't finish the play. Damian Araoz hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. After having played for 96 minutes, Yahya Sinulingga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Malaysia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yahya Sinulingga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
