The wind increased when Bradley Sheehan made the kick off in the second half. Steven Airth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Cullen in the 51st minute of play. After 53 minutes of play, U21 England's Bradley Sheehan made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Steven Airth was left in no man's land by his defense there! Steven Airth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Howard Haylock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. U21 Scotland's Steven Airth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Howard Haylock in the 71st minute of play. The supporters of U21 England booed when U21 Scotland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Fraser didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steven Airth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dave Cullen, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thomas Fraser during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. U21 England's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
