Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alf Lind got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute of the match, Hernández Fernández got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gustav Wallengren was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 4 played minutes U21 Scotland got a freekick which was hit by Dean Findlater. Hernández Fernández's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gustav Wallengren firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 8th minute, Martin Hedlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sean Barrie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hubert Berggren in the 10th minute of the match. Hernández Fernández could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Gustav Wallengren made a huge save. Hernández Fernández's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Gustav Wallengren skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Pihl United getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Alvar Mellbad hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brandon McConnach in the 23rd minute of play forced Pihl United's goalkeeper Gustav Wallengren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, U21 Scotland's goal looked a bit too open when Hubert Berggren came free, but Sean Barrie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 29 minutes of play, U21 Scotland's Derek Cooke made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustav Wallengren was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gustav Wallengren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hernández Fernández in the 32nd minute. Sean Barrie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Hedlund in the 34th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hernández Fernández stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Fergus Malcolm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustav Wallengren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to U21 Scotland getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Brandon McConnach hit a great ball. In the 56th match minute, U21 Scotland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Taggart to maneuver through the defense. Brandon McConnach scored 2-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustav Wallengren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Pihl United booed when U21 Scotland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sean McMaster didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Freddie Jonsson took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Sean Barrie to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Scotland's zone, Freddie Jonsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sean Barrie came out of the goal and Freddie Jonsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martin Hedlund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Sean Barrie made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Hedlund in the 78th minute of play forced U21 Scotland's goalkeeper Sean Barrie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the game, Aaron McCaw was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Scotland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pihl United the free kick. After a rather tough play, U21 Scotland's Aaron McCaw got a free kick in the 79th minute. Alf Lind struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Sean Barrie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pihl United. A collision led to U21 Scotland getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Richard Taggart hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pihl United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for U21 Scotland.
