After recieving a nice pass, U21 England's Garth Beck tried to score from far away in the 3rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Samuel Pottsepp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Will Goldthorpe having to interfere. Chelmza Team's Grzegorz Karpiak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Chelmza Team from getting a goal against them. In the 11th match minute, Chelmza Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominik Posadzki to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the game, Magno Borges was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chelmza Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 England the free kick. After 12 played minutes Chelmza Team got a freekick which was hit by Magno Borges. After a defensive mix-up in Chelmza Team's zone, Garth Beck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Grzegorz Karpiak came out of the goal and Garth Beck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Owen Wilberforce might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Grzegorz Karpiak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Owen Wilberforce ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Chelmza Team's Grzegorz Karpiak got control of the ball when Owen Wilberforce tried to sneak it across the goal line. Archie Greenwood was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 20th minute. U21 England's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Samuel Pottsepp hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the match, Chelmza Team's Karol Antoszewski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Will Goldthorpe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Will Goldthorpe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karol Antoszewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Owen Wilberforce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karol Antoszewski to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Archie Greenwood in the 51st minute of play forced Chelmza Team's goalkeeper Grzegorz Karpiak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Owen Wilberforce scored 1-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Grzegorz Karpiak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Owen Wilberforce in the 60th minute of play forced Chelmza Team's goalkeeper Grzegorz Karpiak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grzegorz Karpiak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlton Boothroyd, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Will Goldthorpe made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Karol Antoszewski sent off a good shot on target. U21 England's Leo Bean was substituted for Owen Wilberforce. U21 England's Cristiano Mbappè was substituted for Archie Greenwood. In the 72nd minute, one of U21 England:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for U21 England. Cezary Fronczak placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. U21 England had won after a very even match.
