Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Aurelio Zulli started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Alexander Falone didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Conny Leber went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 9th match minute, U21 Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tim Woltemade to maneuver through the defense. After 11 played minutes U21 Italy got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Pellecchia. In the 16th minute, Cosimo Crosta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, U21 Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Parson came free, but Alexander Falone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, U21 Germany's goalkeeper Dirk Mies had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Devis Tolin. With a little luck, U21 Germany's Dirk Mies got control of the ball when Aurelio Zulli tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, U21 Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ansgar Hermann to maneuver through the defense. Dirk Mies showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosimo Crosta, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Florian Scatena dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dirk Mies, 1-1. Dirk Mies made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aurelio Zulli in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute, Edmondo Orsini reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dirk Mies. The goal made the score 2-1. 46 minutes into the match, U21 Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Conny Leber came free, but Alexander Falone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Conny Leber was the one to do the kick off. When Alvise Porro came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the U21 Italy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvise Porro couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cosimo Boninsegna during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cosimo Boninsegna kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. U21 Italy's Alessandro Guidoni was substituted for Florian Scatena. After a rather tough play, U21 Italy's Cosimo Boninsegna got a free kick in the 56th minute. 59 minutes into the game, Salvatore Baltermanns was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Germany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Italy the free kick. The supporters of U21 Italy booed when U21 Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvatore Baltermanns didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabian Stöckl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. U21 Italy's Alberto Casale was substituted for Claudio Di Giovanni. U21 Germany made a substitution. Konstantin Nowak replaced Conny Leber. In the 69th match minute, U21 Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Oliver Stein to maneuver through the defense. Dirk Mies came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Italy's Amos Marcantonio. But to his dismay, Amos Marcantonio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Alessandro Guidoni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dirk Mies read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Cosimo Crosta got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dirk Mies quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Aurelio Zulli hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Dirk Mies came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Italy's Amos Marcantonio. But to his dismay, Amos Marcantonio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Fabian Stöckl hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. U21 Germany's Dirk Mies played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmondo Orsini in the 87th minute of play. Dirk Mies took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amos Marcantonio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. U21 Italy's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Konstantin Nowak scored to the left of an out of position Alexander Falone, making the score, 4-2. After 93 played minutes U21 Germany got a freekick which was hit by Esra Scholz.
