Spectators: 10302 (Terracing: 7727, Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Luís Fernando Muriel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavier Demay having to interfere. Monico Santalla came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 France's Adrien Garrigue. But to his dismay, Adrien Garrigue quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After recieving a nice pass, U21 France's Eden Giot tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Luís Fernando Muriel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Xavier Demay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eden Giot kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, U21 Colombia's Seguinus Modino got a free kick in the 19th minute. Eden Giot recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. U21 Colombia's Monico Santalla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathys Sauret in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute Adrien Garrigue shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Monico Santalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, U21 France's Mathys Sauret got a free kick in the 31st minute. Monico Santalla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Champigny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xavier Demay made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Espiridion Porras sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th minute Adrien Garrigue shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Monico Santalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Fernando Muriel scored 1-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xavier Demay, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mathys Sauret might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Monico Santalla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mathys Sauret ran back to his position shaking his head. Monico Santalla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrien Garrigue in the 43rd minute of play. Andrés Barajas kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Nicolas Champigny made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Adrien Garrigue left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 France fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 54 minutes into the match, U21 Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Adrien Garrigue came free, but Monico Santalla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute Luís Fernando Muriel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavier Demay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adrien Garrigue got free with Monico Santalla in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Xavier Demay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eneas Dagora, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Xavier Demay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fernando Muriel in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74th match minute, U21 France was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdel Malki to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the match, U21 Colombia's goalkeeper Monico Santalla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pierre-Loup Métivier. In the 80th minute, U21 France's Pierre-Loup Métivier dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Pierre-Loup Métivier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernest Baradat kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. U21 Colombia were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after U21 France's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mitxel Corres took the corner. Mitxel Corres made a great header on U21 Colombia's corner, it was just that U21 France's Xavier Demay managed to reach the ball for a save. Jonathan Roche's late challenge caught a U21 Colombia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Roche helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute, Jonathan Roche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute, Eneas Dagora ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xavier Demay was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. The U21 Colombia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching U21 France's performance. The match ended with a win for U21 France.
