Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Habib Ali Drogba kicked off to start the match. Boubacar Barry showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fatih Sultan-Mehmet in the 2nd minute of the match. Boubacar Barry made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hamza Öztürk in the 6th minute. Hamza Öztürk took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boubacar Barry. Boubacar Barry dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fatih Sultan-Mehmet in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Boubacar Barry saved U21 South Africa from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Önder Dafni got free with Boubacar Barry in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hamza Öztürk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Boubacar Barry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the U21 South Africa defense, Hamza Öztürk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Boubacar Barry. The U21 South Africa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Boubacar Barry should have stopped the shot. If Önder Dafni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Celal Yoruk fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Turkey's protests and gave Celal Yoruk a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of U21 South Africa booed when U21 Turkey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celal Yoruk didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, U21 Turkey's Hamza Öztürk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Boubacar Barry narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, U21 Turkey's goal looked a bit too open when Nazeer Mkhwanazi came free, but Seçkin Suavi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute of the match, Fatih Sultan-Mehmet tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Boubacar Barry saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 39 minutes U21 South Africa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fatih Sultan-Mehmet who took care of the corner kick. The corner led U21 Turkey's Fatih Sultan-Mehmet to fire away a dangerous shot which Boubacar Barry despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a little luck, U21 South Africa's Boubacar Barry got control of the ball when Hamza Öztürk tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, U21 South Africa's Milton Makweni got a free kick in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fatih Sultan-Mehmet in the 47th minute of play forced U21 South Africa's goalkeeper Boubacar Barry to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute U21 Turkey were awarded a corner. Fatih Sultan-Mehmet went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led U21 Turkey's Fatih Sultan-Mehmet to fire away a dangerous shot which Boubacar Barry despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
The wind increased when Fatih Sultan-Mehmet made the kick off in the second half. Boubacar Barry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Önder Dafni, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 54thth minute of the game Hamza Öztürk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 South Africa's Boubacar Barry was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Celal Yoruk was shown his second yellow card after 56 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Meshack Madima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Seçkin Suavi having to interfere. Boubacar Barry took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fatih Sultan-Mehmet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute, Fatih Sultan-Mehmet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Turkey fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. U21 South Africa's Etienne Mafuna was substituted for Fuzile Takalani. U21 South Africa made a substitution. Timothy Kekana replaced Milton Makweni. U21 Turkey made a substitution. Hakan Hakan replaced Saip Sebuk. When Meshack Madima fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 South Africa's protests and gave Meshack Madima a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to U21 South Africa getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Meshack Madima hit a great ball. Boubacar Barry took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fatih Sultan-Mehmet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of U21 South Africa booed when U21 Turkey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lütfü Tunçkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute, Harry Mokatimi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fatih Sultan-Mehmet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, U21 South Africa's Seçkin Suavi threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Meshack Madima, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 96th minute of the match U21 South Africa got a corner. U21 Turkey's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. C.J. Boka ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ömer Rıza İlhan tried in the game's 96th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Seçkin Suavi. An annoying self made goal, 4-1.
