In the 61st minute, Filip Marinović got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th minute of the match U21 Croatia got a corner. U21 Germany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lino Pintarić ran over to the corner to take the kick. The U21 Germany players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
