In the 79th minute Christian Shaarawy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxmilian Indra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. U21 Italy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alessandro Bianchi in the 80th minute. Christian Shaarawy made a great header on U21 Italy's corner, it was just that U21 Czech Republic's Maxmilian Indra managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 82nd minute of the match U21 Italy got a corner. U21 Czech Republic's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. If Daniel Bělohlávek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. U21 Italy walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
