Oflador FC 2003's António Roma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Gomez in the 3rd minute of play. In the 8th minute, Oflador FC 2003's Konstantin Fitos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nery Pumpido. Nery Pumpido yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 23rd minute, Claudio Cerritos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Tolga Enginer in the 24th minute of play. Oflador FC 2003 were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after GuateFortín's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ahmet Tolga Enginer took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of GuateFortín's goalie and right to Ruperto Abeita. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. GuateFortín's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Nery Pumpido stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Konstantin Fitos's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save GuateFortín from getting a goal against them. Konstantin Fitos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Nery Pumpido made a huge save. Mario Gomez hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in GuateFortín's zone, Konstantin Fitos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nery Pumpido came out of the goal and Konstantin Fitos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute, Hamdullah Vezir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Konstantin Fitos to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Konstantin Fitos in the 51st minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute Zico Zellier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Roma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zico Zellier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. GuateFortín made a substitution. Stanyo Búnkov replaced Rudy Sigaran. 67 minutes into the match, Oflador FC 2003's Konstantin Fitos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nery Pumpido narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nery Pumpido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Alfonso, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Alfonso in the 84th minute of play. António Roma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 85th minute. When Angel Alvarenga fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GuateFortín's protests and gave Angel Alvarenga a yellow card for diving instead. 90 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Tolga Enginer came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the GuateFortín defense, Lázaro Roderigo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nery Pumpido. The GuateFortín fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nery Pumpido should have stopped the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Oflador FC 2003 had played much better football throughout.
