Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolf Hitman in the 17th minute of play. Adolf Hitman scored 0-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nery Pumpido, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nery Pumpido prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 73rd minute of the match, Wiktor Bielatowicz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nery Pumpido saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 74 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Wiktor Bielatowicz came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Bociany SA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bociany SA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
