In the 9th match minute, Guarei FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laerte Neves to maneuver through the defense. After 14 played minutes Guarei FC got a freekick which was hit by Laerte Neves. In the 16th minute, Bulsky Sinuraya ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudinho Mota was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a rather tough play, Guarei FC's Breno Koehler got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Claudinho Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ichwan Haryanto, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Claudinho Mota stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ichwan Haryanto's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Fery Guci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho Monteiro in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Penang Island's goal looked a bit too open when Breno Koehler came free, but Fery Guci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Bulsky Sinuraya could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Claudinho Mota however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bulsky Sinuraya in the 47th minute of play forced Guarei FC's goalkeeper Claudinho Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bulsky Sinuraya stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Claudinho Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Akmal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Bulsky Sinuraya's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudinho Mota was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. After 84th play minutes Bulsky Sinuraya shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Claudinho Mota and just under the crossbar into goal. 88 minutes into the game, Bulsky Sinuraya cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Claudinho Mota was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bulsky Sinuraya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Mota having to interfere. Ichwan Haryanto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Breno Koehler during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Breno Koehler kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Penang Island walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
