With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bulek Idris in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ezequiel Centurión saved Riverzone from getting behind. Andra Barus hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Fadh Ie came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Riverzone's Pablo Solari. But to his dismay, Pablo Solari quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Fadh Ie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Solari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Leonard Sinuraya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Riverzone's Matías Kranevitter got a free kick in the 29th minute. Riverzone's Ezequiel Centurión played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Sinuraya in the 32nd minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Leonard Sinuraya ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ezequiel Centurión was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Oinatz in the 34th minute of play forced Penang Island's goalkeeper Fadh Ie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ezequiel Centurión made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neymar Aguero in the 36th minute of play. Riverzone's Ignacio Oinatz got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bulek Idris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The audience was convinced that Bulek Idris's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ezequiel Centurión was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Ezequiel Centurión was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ezequiel Centurión showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bulek Idris, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Riverzone's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joko Febrian was slow to take the kick. During this time Penang Island's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Bulek Idris almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Riverzone's Ezequiel Centurión did a great save. The Penang Island fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Penang Island's Bulek Idris looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Djati Simamora came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Penang Island fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Djati Simamora couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bulek Idris in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ezequiel Centurión prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Esequiel Barco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ezequiel Centurión made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Djati Simamora in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute Bulek Idris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezequiel Centurión saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 87 minutes Riverzone's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joko Febrian who took care of the corner kick. Ezequiel Centurión made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haryanto Simamora in the 88th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Bulek Idris ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ezequiel Centurión was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 95th minute, Gendo Waluyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
