The referee showed Birjaio Herdozain the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. ★ IL TORO ★'s Mikhail Simonov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birjaio Herdozain in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Constantino Chumacero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mikhail Simonov. ★ IL TORO ★'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Constantino Chumacero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. A collision led to U21 Paraguay getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Mikeldi Barzana hit a great ball. Ezequiel Borniquell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Oinaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Birjaio Herdozain could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Mikhail Simonov made a huge save. In the 19th minute, Alan Cano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Esquipula Criales charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Esquipula Criales the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 21 played minutes U21 Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Esquipula Criales. Mikhail Simonov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Birjaio Herdozain in the 31st minute of the match. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by ★ IL TORO ★'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mikeldi Barzana was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Paraguay's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Mikeldi Barzana almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ★ IL TORO ★'s Mikhail Simonov did a great save. 34 minutes into the match, U21 Paraguay's Birjaio Herdozain sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mikhail Simonov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to ★ IL TORO ★ getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Paulino Odon hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Mikeldi Barzana managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Paraguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Mikeldi Barzana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mikhail Simonov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mikhail Simonov stood somewhat misplaced when Birjaio Herdozain came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 43 minute. In the 47th minute of the match Isaac Torres sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mikhail Simonov skillfully saved the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

U21 Paraguay's Rubio Guardia was substituted for Alan Cano. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teofilo Oinaz to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, U21 Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Torres to maneuver through the defense. Birjaio Herdozain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikhail Simonov having to interfere. After 61 minutes, Lisandro Selmo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ★ IL TORO ★ and the U21 Paraguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lisandro Selmo kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Birjaio Herdozain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikhail Simonov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, U21 Paraguay's Birjaio Herdozain nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mikhail Simonov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 72nd minute, Constantino Chumacero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The ★ IL TORO ★ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mikhail Simonov should have stopped the shot. Mikhail Simonov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birjaio Herdozain in the 95th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. U21 Paraguay fully deserved thier win.
