A hard shot 4 in the game by Arin Mndoyants from a close distance when the talented Dennis Rhoades managed to make a qualified save. Persepolis F.C.'s players were relieved. Arin Mndoyants's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Dennis Rhoades skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Persepolis F.C.'s Dennis Rhoades played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arin Mndoyants in the 10th minute of play. With his leg Dennis Rhoades managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Khachatryan's Arin Mndoyants fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Persepolis F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bernardo Caballero was slow to take the kick. During this time Khachatryan's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Bernardo Caballero almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Persepolis F.C.'s Dennis Rhoades did a great save. The supporters of Persepolis F.C. booed when Khachatryan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arin Khachaturyan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tigran Balayan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arden Poulin in the 17th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abel Avetisyan got free with Dennis Rhoades in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arin Mndoyants in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dennis Rhoades saved Persepolis F.C. from getting behind. The supporters of Persepolis F.C. booed when Khachatryan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berry Phillips didn't get a good kick on the ball. Persepolis F.C.'s Dennis Rhoades played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arin Khachaturyan in the 27th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arin Khachaturyan in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dennis Rhoades saved Persepolis F.C. from getting behind. In the 30thth minute of the game Arden Poulin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Khachatryan's Tigran Balayan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arin Mndoyants in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dennis Rhoades, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Bernardo Caballero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Dennis Rhoades when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the Persepolis F.C. defense, Abel Avetisyan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dennis Rhoades. The Persepolis F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dennis Rhoades should have stopped the shot. When Arin Mndoyants in the 44th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Dennis Rhoades kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Arin Mndoyants's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 48thth minute, Dennis Rhoades skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Dennis Rhoades showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arin Mndoyants, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arin Mndoyants in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dennis Rhoades prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arin Mndoyants in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dennis Rhoades saved Persepolis F.C. from getting behind. Dennis Rhoades stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arin Mndoyants's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Khachatryan's Tigran Balayan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Khachatryan from getting a goal against them. Khachatryan's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Arden Poulin scored to the left of an out of position Tigran Balayan, making the score, 2-1. Khachatryan's Kurtis Wooten was substituted for Abel Avetisyan. Kurtis Wooten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Rhoades having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Persepolis F.C.'s Wilson Seals dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Art Rhoades received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Tigran Balayan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tigran Balayan came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Persepolis F.C.'s Arden Poulin. But to his dismay, Arden Poulin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Dennis Rhoades took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Caballero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Khachatryan supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Persepolis F.C.'s performance. The match ended with a win for Persepolis F.C..
