Marcos Basso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavel Balc, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After having played for 35 minutes, Pavel Balc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Buciumii's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pavel Balc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gencer Hisarcık could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Roch Grondzki made a huge save. Roch Grondzki made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Niklas Lundqvist sent off a good shot on target. After 42 played minutes FC Buciumii got a freekick which was hit by Rareș Necula. Roch Grondzki was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Niklas Lundqvist capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Marcos Basso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Olavi Vilo could shoot a difficult shot in the 91st minute, which Marcos Basso however easily saved by the left post.
