Ştefan Vârlan made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Petru Plopeanu sent off a good shot on target. When Constantin Negru came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Purcaresti CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantin Negru couldn't finish the play. In the 10th minute, Valer Șişman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luca Magherescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 15th minute, Ferdinand Petre ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luca Magherescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Valer Șişman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FC Buciumii's Radu Gheondea got a free kick in the 20th minute. Luca Magherescu came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Purcaresti CSS's Valeriu Amurăriței. But to his dismay, Valeriu Amurăriței quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Petru Plopeanu came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ştefan Vârlan could save by the left post. 26 minutes into the match, Purcaresti CSS's goalkeeper Ştefan Vârlan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Petru Plopeanu. Aurelian Stanciu struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Luca Magherescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Purcaresti CSS. 34 minutes into the game, Purcaresti CSS's Ferdinand Petre nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luca Magherescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The audience was convinced that Petru Plopeanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ştefan Vârlan was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Aurelian Ştiubei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Buciumii's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Valer Șişman scored to the left of an out of position Luca Magherescu, making the score, 0-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelian Ştiubei in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ştefan Vârlan saved Purcaresti CSS from getting behind. In the 63rd minute Sebastian Giubelean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ştefan Vârlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute of the match Laurențiu Dinescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ştefan Vârlan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luca Magherescu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Valeriu Amurăriței showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 67 minute of play. The supporters of FC Buciumii booed when Purcaresti CSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valeriu Amurăriței didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Valeriu Amurăriței fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Purcaresti CSS's protests and gave Valeriu Amurăriței a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Purcaresti CSS getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Valeriu Amurăriței hit a great ball. Laurențiu Dinescu kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the game, Valer Șişman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Luca Magherescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valeriu Amurăriței received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luca Magherescu came out and tried to block the shot, but Valeriu Amurăriței slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 83rd minute. The supporters of Purcaresti CSS booed when FC Buciumii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radu Gheondea didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Constantin Negru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Purcaresti CSS's supporters rose to their feet, but Constantin Negru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luca Magherescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 91 minutes, Constantin Negru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Purcaresti CSS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Constantin Negru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 93 played minutes FC Buciumii got a freekick which was hit by Silviu Bârsan. FC Buciumii's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Valer Șişman scored to the left of an out of position Luca Magherescu, making the score, 0-9. Purcaresti CSS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
