Spectators: 7496 (Terracing: 5623, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Marco Quirze got the match started through his kick off. Lyons's Primitivo Bernabel got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marco Quirze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Lyons's Marco Quirze in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye River de Ramos Mejía's goalie prevented a goal. Marco Quirze struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Gualterio Daunte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lyons. Gualterio Daunte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Dorio in the 18th minute of play. Gualterio Daunte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Quirze in the 23rd minute of the match. Teofilo Baladi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucio Guib went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Teofilo Baladi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucio Guib in the 34th minute. After 34th play minutes Cesar Rosio shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Teofilo Baladi and just under the crossbar into goal. 40 minutes into the match, River de Ramos Mejía's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Quirze came free, but Gualterio Daunte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ismael Dorio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Agustin Jaunti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cesar Rosio was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute River de Ramos Mejía were awarded a corner. Esteve Dimo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led River de Ramos Mejía's Basilio Ibar to fire away a dangerous shot which Teofilo Baladi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Valentin Piearres hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Gualterio Daunte came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Lyons's Marco Quirze. But to his dismay, Marco Quirze quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Marco Quirze had several of the River de Ramos Mejía's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 62 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Gualterio Daunte as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 66th minute, Lyons's Saverio Jaen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gualterio Daunte. Gualterio Daunte yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. The supporters of Lyons booed when River de Ramos Mejía was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchor Seme didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70thth minute of the game Ismael Dorio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River de Ramos Mejía's Gualterio Daunte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 70 minutes into the match, River de Ramos Mejía's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Quirze came free, but Gualterio Daunte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valentin Piearres kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Teofilo Baladi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesar Rosio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Lyons's Marco Quirze slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gualterio Daunte. That made the score 2-5 after 82 minutes of play. 88 minutes into the game, Saverio Jaen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gualterio Daunte. Saverio Jaen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-6. Marco Quirze in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gualterio Daunte, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lyons's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
