After 11 minutes, Roberto Mendonça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Várzea F.C. and the PATADAS S.A players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 11 played minutes Várzea F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Mendonça. Murilo Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Oto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aníbal Paes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th minute Leopoldo Turres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murilo Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge George kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 22 played minutes, Várzea F.C.'s Dé Montenegro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Raul Llorian came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Várzea F.C. reached it. Murilo Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Turres, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After 27 minutes, Octavio Bazil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PATADAS S.A and the Várzea F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th minute, Octavio Bazil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th match minute, PATADAS S.A was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genaro Haritz to maneuver through the defense. Joaquim Marques struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Raul Llorian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Várzea F.C.. After 31 played minutes PATADAS S.A got a freekick which was hit by Celso Chabier. Roberto Mendonça hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. PATADAS S.A's Raul Llorian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save PATADAS S.A from getting a goal against them. 45 minutes into the game, Genaro Haritz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PATADAS S.A's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Várzea F.C. the free kick. Nemesio Salomone hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dé Montenegro to strike the kick off in the second half. Dé Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raul Llorian read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. After 53 played minutes PATADAS S.A got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Costante. Rubinho Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Várzea F.C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Leopoldo Turres fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Raul Llorian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dé Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Raul Llorian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademar Mendes in the 69th minute of play. Adhemar Ribeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adhemar Ribeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adhemar Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. The supporters of PATADAS S.A booed when Várzea F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubinho Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raul Llorian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademar Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by PATADAS S.A's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dé Montenegro was slow to take the kick. During this time Várzea F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Aníbal Paes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Raul Llorian quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Celso Chabier got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 90 played minutes PATADAS S.A got a freekick which was hit by Celso Chabier. The supporters of PATADAS S.A booed when Várzea F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adhemar Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
