Várzea F.C. were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after la Conarda C.F.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aloísio Secco took the corner. The audience was convinced that Jude Monkhouse's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ritchie Pastor was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. The Várzea F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Augusto Quintal should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jude Monkhouse in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ritchie Pastor saved la Conarda C.F. from getting behind. Jude Monkhouse might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ritchie Pastor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jude Monkhouse ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jude Monkhouse in the 35th minute of play forced la Conarda C.F.'s goalkeeper Ritchie Pastor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jude Monkhouse in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ritchie Pastor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Jude Monkhouse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Várzea F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Jude Monkhouse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ritchie Pastor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Michaël Albrecht hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After the first half la Conarda C.F. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jude Monkhouse was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes la Conarda C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Amaro Ponce. Jude Monkhouse blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ritchie Pastor having to make a save. Ritchie Pastor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jude Monkhouse in the 54th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, la Conarda C.F.'s Michaël Albrecht got a free kick in the 65th minute. 68 minutes into the game, Michaël Albrecht threw the ball into play from the sideline.
