Raphael Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jude Monkhouse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raphael Dantas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jude Monkhouse in the 16th minute. Jude Monkhouse received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Raphael Dantas came out and tried to block the shot, but Jude Monkhouse slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 16th minute. Carlos Augusto Quintal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Almir Meira in the 25th minute of the match. Carlos Augusto Quintal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Almir Meira, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Tomas Paelemans kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After 42 minutes Casa Real de Savóia F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jude Monkhouse who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Jude Monkhouse got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Raphael Dantas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Várzea F.C.'s Aloísio Secco in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Casa Real de Savóia F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Almir Meira to make the kick off. Rogério Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Várzea F.C.'s Anderson Paiva got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Casa Real de Savóia F.C.'s Tomas Paelemans slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carlos Augusto Quintal. That made the score 1-1 after 67 minutes of play. Várzea F.C.'s Dé Montenegro was substituted for Jude Monkhouse. Carlos Augusto Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richárd Lovász in the 82nd minute of play. In the 89th minute, Dé Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Várzea F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. If Dé Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Casa Real de Savóia F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
