The crowd rose to their feet as Jaroslaw Gleba kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Melquiades Morales. That made the score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. 6 minutes into the game, Zula Podowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kamionka Death SquaD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Universitario de deportes the free kick. Tomasz Bondel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Figueres, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute, Zula Podowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michael Ronin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Michael Ronin might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Melquiades Morales. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Michael Ronin ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Universitario de deportes's Melquiades Morales got control of the ball when Michael Ronin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Kamionka Death SquaD's zone, Brion Bermejo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomasz Bondel came out of the goal and Brion Bermejo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Kamionka Death SquaD getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Wincenty Galus hit a great ball. Abel Figueres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomasz Bondel having to interfere. When Benedykt Gizynski fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kamionka Death SquaD's protests and gave Benedykt Gizynski a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Kamionka Death SquaD getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Benedykt Gizynski hit a great ball. In the 37th minute Abel Figueres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomasz Bondel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Michael Ronin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th match minute, Universitario de deportes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Etxahun Cifuentes to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abel Figueres to make the kick off. Tomasz Bondel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesús Taules, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. If Jaroslaw Gleba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Egoi Bermejo made in the 66th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Kamionka Death SquaD's Filip Pieprz. Universitario de deportes's Melquiades Morales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Ronin in the 70th minute of play. Prudencio Ortiz hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Melquiades Morales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Ronin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Melquiades Morales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Ronin in the 95th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Universitario de deportes players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kamionka Death SquaD.
