Adam Doykin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blas Arlo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 19 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Arlo came free, but Adam Doykin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santiago Urtats was a little too slow when Caetano Saad got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 1-0. After a rather tough play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Tarcisio Valle got a free kick in the 28th minute. Adam Doykin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Pelagius's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mathías Villasante during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 39 played minutes, Paunero's Emilio Ruy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adam Doykin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paunero reached it. After 41 minutes, Celsinho Castro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CE LAJEADENSE RS and the Paunero players grew even worse after the yellow card. Celsinho Castro hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Saad in the 44th minute of play forced Paunero's goalkeeper Santiago Urtats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Silverio Semeno made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Blas Arlo put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Adam Doykin. When Humberto Rossi came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the CE LAJEADENSE RS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Rossi couldn't finish the play. 57 minutes into the match, Paunero's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Saad came free, but Santiago Urtats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paunero's Santiago Urtats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Rossi in the 61st minute of play. Santiago Urtats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Saad, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gildo Cearense in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santiago Urtats saved Paunero from getting behind. Santiago Urtats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Saad in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Paunero's goal looked a bit too open when Gildo Cearense came free, but Santiago Urtats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adam Doykin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silverio Semeno in the 93rd minute. Paunero's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because CE LAJEADENSE RS had won, even though Paunero had held more of the ball.
