Clube Audax Metropolitano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sidney Vianna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Pedro Rangel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sidney Vianna showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 33 minute of play. Pedro Rangel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilvan Moura in the 37th minute of the match. Pedro Rangel didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when CE LAJEADENSE RS's Humberto Rossi shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-0 in the ordered_time% minute. After 55 minutes, Sidney Vianna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CE LAJEADENSE RS and the Clube Audax Metropolitano players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 55th match minute, CE LAJEADENSE RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidney Vianna to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barney Thomson in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavinho Reis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Zeca Siqueira took a quick shot and it went in 5-1 without a chance for Flavinho Reis to make any attempt to save it. CE LAJEADENSE RS made a substitution. Pedro Rangel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Rossi in the 72nd minute of the match. 73 minutes into the game, Edgard Mineiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clube Audax Metropolitano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CE LAJEADENSE RS the free kick. After some careless play in the Clube Audax Metropolitano defense, Gilvan Moura kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Rangel. The Clube Audax Metropolitano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Rangel should have stopped the shot. Carlos Netto hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilvan Moura in the 89th minute of play forced Clube Audax Metropolitano's goalkeeper Pedro Rangel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Rangel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Vianna, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After a rather tough play, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Juan Gerber got a free kick in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute Caio Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Rangel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clube Audax Metropolitano's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
