The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Vielva got free with Siim Kikas in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8th minute, Elizardo Massana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carqueja fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 11 minutes of play, Carqueja's Elizardo Massana made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Siim Kikas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Juan-Alfredo Solares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Siim Kikas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd minute, Mario Vielva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carqueja fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. De Gulden Draak's Siim Kikas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save De Gulden Draak from getting a goal against them. Lars Batzer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. De Gulden Draak's Siim Kikas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enmanuel Herdozain in the 28th minute of play. In the 31st minute Mario Vielva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Siim Kikas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Mario Vielva kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Siim Kikas. That made the score 5-0 in the 31 minute of play. Siim Kikas made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Elizardo Massana sent off a good shot on target. 45 minutes into the match, De Gulden Draak's goalkeeper Siim Kikas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elizardo Massana. Manuel Peres struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Lars Batzer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for De Gulden Draak. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elizardo Massana made a kick off. The Carqueja fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Carqueja's Elizardo Massana looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
