In a very dangerous position, a player in Carqueja fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! Selatse Guijano had in the 92ndth minute some difficulties stopping Guido Šuler's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Leopoldo Benavidez fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carqueja's protests and gave Leopoldo Benavidez a yellow card for diving instead. Leopoldo Benavidez kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Ariel Noriega hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Carqueja had won after a very even match.
