Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Reggie Metcalf kicked off to start the match. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sheldrake's goalkeeper Eugene Stafford, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 9th minute, Brice Gaulin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reggie Metcalf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Eugene Stafford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brice Gaulin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugene Stafford having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Pereira got free with Barnabé Rutledge in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Barnabé Rutledge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maria Galvan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sheldrake's Eugene Stafford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brice Gaulin in the 29th minute of play. Thaddeus Mobley hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the match, Cowley's goal looked a bit too open when Maria Galvan came free, but Barnabé Rutledge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 42 minutes, Reggie Metcalf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cowley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reggie Metcalf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eugene Stafford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loyd Lutz, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. If Reggie Metcalf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Cowley were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Maria Galvan made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Cowley's goal looked a bit too open when Maria Galvan came free, but Barnabé Rutledge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brice Gaulin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Eugene Stafford when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Reggie Metcalf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugene Stafford having to interfere. In the 77th minute Reggie Metcalf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugene Stafford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reggie Metcalf received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eugene Stafford came out and tried to block the shot, but Reggie Metcalf slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 79th minute. Brice Gaulin struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Eugene Stafford didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cowley. Leland Jacobs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugene Stafford having to interfere. In the 91st play minute Brice Gaulin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eugene Stafford. 0-4. Reggie Metcalf struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Eugene Stafford didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cowley.
