Brice Gaulin came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Allan Dickens could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Kingdom come's Casey Locke got a free kick in the 36th minute. When Paris Barker fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kingdom come's protests and gave Paris Barker a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 minutes, Brice Gaulin made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Kingdom come's Allan Dickens tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Reuben Cartwright had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
