A collision led to Liverpool getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Mauricio Benton hit a great ball. When Seymour Hébert came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Tlell fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Seymour Hébert couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute, Tuan Watson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tlell fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 17th minute, Jean Croteau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jean Croteau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Norberto Chabot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexander Kearney's late challenge caught a Liverpool's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Kearney helped the player get up and apologised. Norberto Chabot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tod Rodgers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Tlell's zone, Jean Croteau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto Chabot came out of the goal and Jean Croteau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute, Ron Burke fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Jean Croteau put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Norberto Chabot. Numbers Creech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augustin Sansouci in the 47th minute of play. Ron Burke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tuan Watson was the one to do the kick off. Liverpool's Jean Croteau got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute, one of Tlell:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tlell. Jean Croteau shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 61 minutes into the match, Tlell's goal looked a bit too open when Ron Burke came free, but Norberto Chabot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jean Croteau in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Norberto Chabot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Norberto Chabot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jean Croteau's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. If Ron Burke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norberto Chabot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ron Burke, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Tod Rodgers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Jean Croteau left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Liverpool fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Gerald Robert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Chabot having to interfere. Jean Croteau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jean Croteau in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Norberto Chabot saved Tlell from getting behind. Tod Rodgers scored 3-1 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Norberto Chabot, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 96th minute Tod Rodgers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Chabot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Liverpool were the better team. Liverpool's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
