Spectators: 6841 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Zane Jarvis got the match started through his kick off. Humbert Dooley's late challenge caught a FC Val da's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Humbert Dooley helped the player get up and apologised. François Hooks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glen Buchanan in the 6th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Glen Buchanan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Val da fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Glen Buchanan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. François Hooks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zane Jarvis in the 12th minute of play forced Ceylon AFC's goalkeeper François Hooks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Glen Buchanan managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Val da's supporters rose to their feet, but Glen Buchanan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. François Hooks breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kim Provencher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zane Jarvis scored 0-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of François Hooks, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Glen Buchanan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without François Hooks having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ceylon AFC's Nicodème Cortes got a free kick in the 29th minute. FC Val da's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pete Tate in the 32nd minute. After taking down the ball on FC Val da's corner Geoffrey Kruse fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and François Hooks quite easily take care of the ball. If Zane Jarvis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Byron Lujan didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Ceylon AFC's Bruno Epperson shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kim Provencher made a kick off. FC Val da's Byron Lujan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kim Provencher in the 59th minute of play. After 77 played minutes Ceylon AFC got a freekick which was hit by Sandy Rowell. François Hooks was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Zane Jarvis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 79 minute of play. Byron Lujan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kim Provencher in the 82nd minute of the match. Byron Lujan came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Ceylon AFC's Bruno Epperson. But to his dismay, Bruno Epperson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Kim Provencher's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Byron Lujan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Val da's zone, Bruno Epperson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Byron Lujan came out of the goal and Bruno Epperson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Ceylon AFC booed when FC Val da was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pete Tate didn't get a good kick on the ball. Humbert Dooley hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. The Ceylon AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Val da's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Val da.
