When Vadim Shiryaev came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Fly T.T fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vadim Shiryaev couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Lott in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Troy Wall prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Garrett Gladu made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Vadim Shiryaev sent off a good shot on target. In the 40th minute, Vadim Shiryaev reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Garrett Gladu. The goal made the score 1-2. With a little luck, C.S.M. Resita's Garrett Gladu got control of the ball when Vadim Shiryaev tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 47th minute Juliusz Szostak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Troy Wall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half C.S.M. Resita were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Lott to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Fly T.T getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Léandre Newton hit a great ball. Anderson Staley hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. C.S.M. Resita's Mariano Lott was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 57th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Vadim Shiryaev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Garrett Gladu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Garrett Gladu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vadim Shiryaev in the 62nd minute of play. Chong Lamontagne's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Troy Wall skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 68 minutes into the game, Quincy Cahill was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.S.M. Resita's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fly T.T the free kick. The supporters of Fly T.T booed when C.S.M. Resita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quincy Cahill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariano Lott came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Troy Wall could save by the left post. The corner ended in Chong Lamontagne almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Fly T.T's Troy Wall did a great save. Léandre Newton hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Vadim Shiryaev took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Garrett Gladu. Garrett Gladu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. A collision led to Fly T.T getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Elton Avalos hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the match, Fly T.T's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lott came free, but Troy Wall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner ended in Lorenzo Ott almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Fly T.T's Troy Wall did a great save. C.S.M. Resita's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
