The audience was convinced that Sérgio Jacinto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Garrett Gladu was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Sérgio Jacinto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Garrett Gladu having to make a save. 29 minutes into the match, C.S.M. Resita's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Jacinto came free, but Garrett Gladu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Ekipa Damcia's Sérgio Jacinto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Garrett Gladu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute of the match Ekipa Damcia got a corner. C.S.M. Resita's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dawid Dropinski ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tomasz Jarosiewicz made a great header on Ekipa Damcia's corner, it was just that C.S.M. Resita's Garrett Gladu managed to reach the ball for a save. Sérgio Jacinto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Garrett Gladu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. 45 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.S.M. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sérgio Jacinto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Quincy Cahill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 50th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 52ndth minute of the game Sérgio Jacinto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.S.M. Resita's Garrett Gladu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sérgio Jacinto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Garrett Gladu having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juliusz Szostak in the 56th minute of play forced Ekipa Damcia's goalkeeper Giancarlo Donnarumma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sérgio Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sérgio Jacinto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Garrett Gladu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Ekipa Damcia were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after C.S.M. Resita's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dawid Dropinski took the corner. Giancarlo Donnarumma didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juliusz Szostak went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sérgio Jacinto in the 73rd minute of play forced C.S.M. Resita's goalkeeper Garrett Gladu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.S.M. Resita's goalkeeper Garrett Gladu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ekipa Damcia's Tomasz Jarosiewicz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Garrett Gladu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ekipa Damcia's Szymon Misiorowski managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Anderson Staley in the 84 minute of the game. Tomasz Jarosiewicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Garrett Gladu made a huge save. A hard shot 87 in the game by Sérgio Jacinto from a close distance when the talented Garrett Gladu managed to make a qualified save. C.S.M. Resita's players were relieved. If Sérgio Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ekipa Damcia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
