Apollinaire Gousse kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Wágner Recife had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chauncey Holland. Inter 1908 Milan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wágner Recife was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. A collision led to Vancouver Reds getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Roberto Perfumo hit a great ball. Sang Wheeler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santana Armada read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Claudio Plante could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Chauncey Holland made a huge save. Santana Armada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Welsh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Beckman in the 28th minute of play forced Vancouver Reds's goalkeeper Santana Armada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hassan Barth charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hassan Barth the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Inter 1908 Milan booed when Vancouver Reds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hassan Barth didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Vancouver Reds's Wágner Recife ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Chauncey Holland. Chauncey Holland yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Chauncey Holland came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Vancouver Reds's Wágner Recife. But to his dismay, Wágner Recife quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 51 minutes of play, Vancouver Reds's Roger Kohn made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chauncey Holland was left in no man's land by his defense there! Santana Armada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Welsh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, Vancouver Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Jospeh Heller came free, but Santana Armada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bixente Lizarazu's late challenge caught a Inter 1908 Milan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bixente Lizarazu helped the player get up and apologised. Bixente Lizarazu hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. A collision led to Vancouver Reds getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Bixente Lizarazu hit a great ball. Santana Armada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jospeh Heller in the 63rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jospeh Heller in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santana Armada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Victor Dunn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jospeh Heller got free with Santana Armada in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With 68 minutes on the clock, Roberto Perfumo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 67 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vancouver Reds! Santana Armada had in the 70thth minute some difficulties stopping Sang Wheeler's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Santana Armada stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norberto Beckman's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. If Jake Perrault had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Santana Armada successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 76 minutes Vancouver Reds's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sang Wheeler who took care of the corner kick. In the 79th minute Jospeh Heller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santana Armada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Victor Dunn took a quick shot and it went in 5-1 without a chance for Santana Armada to make any attempt to save it. Santana Armada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lacy Couture, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wiliam Xavier charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wiliam Xavier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wiliam Xavier hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Inter 1908 Milan's Sang Wheeler shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 90th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Santana Armada but with some difficulty. After having played for 93 minutes, Wágner Recife managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vancouver Reds's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wágner Recife was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute, Jake Perrault ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chauncey Holland was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Vancouver Reds's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
