The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gert Dornak showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Claudinho Travassos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gert Dornak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. When Didi Rosado came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Bruscão da Massa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Didi Rosado couldn't finish the play. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. Frédson Antunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gert Dornak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudinho Travassos went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Didi Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frédson Antunes having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Bruscão da Massa's Léo França broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The Bruscão da Massa players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Josefina were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Didi Rosado to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Didi Rosado made a precise shot to the right of Frédson Antunes. Frédson Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi Rosado in the 96th minute of play. Gert Dornak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudinho Travassos in the 99th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Josefina eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
