The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, real madri's Sydney Siqueira got control of the ball when Claudinho Travassos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Claudinho Travassos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Sydney Siqueira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 15 minutes into the match, real madri's goalkeeper Sydney Siqueira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudinho Travassos. 18 minutes into the game, Kléber Velloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Josefina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave real madri the free kick. A collision led to Josefina getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Kléber Velloso hit a great ball. Romeu Senna was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 18th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Nestor Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frédson Antunes having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Ricardo Mangueira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sydney Siqueira. Ricardo Mangueira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Claudinho Travassoss short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Sydney Siqueira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 28 played minutes Josefina got a freekick which was hit by Erivaldo Xavier. After 29 played minutes, real madri's Romeu Senna shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Frédson Antunes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in real madri reached it. 37 minutes into the match, real madri's goalkeeper Sydney Siqueira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudinho Travassos. Rafael Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Kléber Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

In the 52nd minute, Bernardinho Terra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The real madri fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. When Claudinho Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Josefina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinho Travassos couldn't finish the play. 60 minutes into the match, Josefina's Ricardo Mangueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sydney Siqueira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. real madri's Sydney Siqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Mangueira in the 63rd minute of play. Sydney Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Mangueira in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Ricardo Mangueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sydney Siqueira was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Jano Secco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. real madri's Sydney Siqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Mangueira in the 75th minute of play. Nestor Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frédson Antunes having to interfere. After 83 minutes of play, real madri's Nestor Monteiro made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frédson Antunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Braga during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rafael Braga hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. real madri's Bernardinho Terra got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricardo Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Sydney Siqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute of the match Augusto Andrade sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sydney Siqueira skillfully saved the ball. Josefina were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of real madri for a fine match.
