The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edson Pitta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If William Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Assiz SC defense, Ezequiel Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgard Domingues. The Assiz SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgard Domingues should have stopped the shot. Edgard Domingues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Montenegro in the 69th minute of play. Renan da Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edson Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 72 minutes, Christian Jacinto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hellcife FC and the Assiz SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hellcife FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
