Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Durvalino Sena got the match started through his kick off. After 4 minutes of play, Hoggenheim's Olavo Antunes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michel Fontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 19 minutes into the match, Hoggenheim's goal looked a bit too open when Durvalino Sena came free, but Lino Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaime Mangueira took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lino Saldanha. Lino Saldanha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Jaime Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Olavo Antunes came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Hoggenheim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olavo Antunes couldn't finish the play. Luciano Cruz's late challenge caught a Hoggenheim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luciano Cruz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th match minute, Tupi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Tupi's Michel Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olavo Antunes in the 36th minute of play. When Olavo Antunes fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hoggenheim's protests and gave Olavo Antunes a yellow card for diving instead. Olavo Antunes kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Leonel Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Michel Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Hoggenheim were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olavo Antunes to make the kick off. Jaime Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Saldanha having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hoggenheim's Dé Barreto got a free kick in the 61st minute. 3-2 became the score in the 63rd minute when Jaime Mangueira elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Michel Fontes didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 66th minute, which inside left pole to 3-3. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of Hoggenheim:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tupi:s goal. The referee gave Tupi a penalty, 76 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luciano Cruz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hoggenheim's Lino Saldanha. 4-3. Michel Fontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olavo Antunes's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tupi fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! Rafael Favoretto shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Willian Arruda charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Willian Arruda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Hoggenheim booed when Tupi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willian Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tupi's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rafael Favoretto was slow to take the kick. During this time Hoggenheim's players had a chance to rest. After a defensive mix-up in Tupi's zone, Leonel Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michel Fontes came out of the goal and Leonel Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olavo Antunes in the 95th minute of play forced Tupi's goalkeeper Michel Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Fernando Vianna hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Hoggenheim's Olavo Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaime Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 100th minute. Lino Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hoggenheim's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
