Spectators: 7507 (Terracing: 5631, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Giovani Baiano got the match started through his kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Marcelo Txanton dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Júlio de Medeiros, 1-0. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Alfredo Calvino took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Júlio de Medeiros to make any attempt to save it. Sidnei Godoi charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sidnei Godoi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th minute Alfredo Calvino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio de Medeiros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enrique Genova in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Cotias EC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Txanton came free, but Júlio de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cotias EC's Giovani Baiano got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute, Marcelo Txanton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcelo Txanton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Júlio de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredo Calvino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Júlio de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Txanton in the 31st minute of play. In the 37th minute, Rony Mota made a precise shot to the right of Júlio de Medeiros. Cotias EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. When Porongos's Alfredo Calvino in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cotias EC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Txanton in the 44th minute of play forced Cotias EC's goalkeeper Júlio de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcelo Txanton to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Marcelo Txanton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio de Medeiros was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. If Alfredo Calvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute of the match, Giovani Baiano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Christiano Castro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience was convinced that Giovani Baiano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christiano Castro was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. After 75th play minutes Marcelo Txanton shot 6-0, a short shot which went by Júlio de Medeiros and just under the crossbar into goal. Júlio de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Genova, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júlio de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Calvino in the 83rd minute of the match. Marcelo Txanton charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelo Txanton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 84th match minute, Porongos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Txanton to maneuver through the defense. Porongos's Christiano Castro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Porongos from getting a goal against them. Júlio de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Genova in the 89th minute of play. If Enrique Genova had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Cotias EC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Txanton came free, but Júlio de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Porongos fully deserved thier win.
