The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Megafuts FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson Valadares came free, but Raphael Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raphael Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anísio de Queiroz in the 8th minute of the match. When Marquinhos Souza fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Megafuts FC's protests and gave Marquinhos Souza a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th minute, Benê Campidelis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raphael Mazza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Paulo Furtado struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Orlando Vidal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Megafuts FC. Benê Campidelis took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raphael Mazza. Raphael Mazza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of Megafuts FC booed when FLAMENGO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anísio de Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raphael Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jefferson Valadares, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Raphael Mazza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benê Campidelis went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Raphael Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anísio de Queiroz in the 31st minute of the match. 38 minutes into the game, Jefferson Valadares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Raphael Mazza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 42nd minute Jefferson Valadares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphael Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Megafuts FC's goal looked a bit too open when Enio Ramalho came free, but Raphael Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benê Campidelis to make the kick off. Jailson Guerra lost his temper 52 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 53rd match minute, Megafuts FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jailson Guerra to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Megafuts FC's Raphael Mazza got control of the ball when Jefferson Valadares tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 59 played minutes Megafuts FC got a freekick which was hit by Marquinhos Souza. Raphael Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benê Campidelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raphael Mazza made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Jefferson Valadares sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rony Recife during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Megafuts FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Rony Recife hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Benê Campidelis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raphael Mazza was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Antônio Carlos de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Raphael Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enio Ramalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benê Campidelis in the 77th minute of play forced Megafuts FC's goalkeeper Raphael Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Paulo Furtado notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of FLAMENGO's Orlando Vidal. Orlando Vidal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Raphael Mazza was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Enio Ramalho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Enio Ramalho really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. 89 minutes into the match, Jefferson Valadares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raphael Mazza. Megafuts FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jefferson Valadares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. In the 92nd minute, Jefferson Valadares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th match minute, FLAMENGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enio Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. FLAMENGO's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
