Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Wilton Rocha kicked off to start the match. Orlando Vidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton Rocha in the 8th minute of play. If Hermínio França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wilton Rocha scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Orlando Vidal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermínio França in the 14th minute of play forced FLAMENGO's goalkeeper Orlando Vidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Maia FC fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Maia FC's Wilton Rocha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tadeu de Souza during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th minute, Tadeu de Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 23 minutes, Benê Campidelis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FLAMENGO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benê Campidelis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ramón Faria's late challenge caught a FLAMENGO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramón Faria helped the player get up and apologised. 25 minutes into the game, one of Maia FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Orlando Vidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilton Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fábio Corrêa made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Jefferson Valadares sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilton Rocha in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orlando Vidal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benê Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Corrêa having to interfere. Carlos Eduardo de Medeiros hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benê Campidelis to make the kick off. When Raúl Furtado fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maia FC's protests and gave Raúl Furtado a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FLAMENGO booed when Maia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raúl Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jefferson Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Fábio Corrêa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 54 minutes into the match, FLAMENGO's goalkeeper Orlando Vidal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilton Rocha. With his leg Orlando Vidal managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Maia FC's Hermínio França fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tony Ribeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Wilton Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Francisco Souto hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After 69 played minutes Wilton Rocha rounded FLAMENGO's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-5. Wilton Rocha did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Orlando Vidal 72 minutes into the match. Wilton Rocha received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Orlando Vidal came out and tried to block the shot, but Wilton Rocha slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 78th minute. Tony Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Orlando Vidal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Orlando Vidal managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Maia FC's Wilton Rocha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
