But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dida Martins couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Friburguense AC defense, Luiz Fernando Matorin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waldir Sena. The Friburguense AC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waldir Sena should have stopped the shot. After 9 minutes, Mário Tavares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Campestrinho SC and the Friburguense AC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th match minute, Campestrinho SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Tavares to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Campestrinho SC booed when Friburguense AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waldir Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dida Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Friburguense AC's goal looked a bit too open when Arthur Furtado came free, but Waldir Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olívio de Almeida's late challenge caught a Campestrinho SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olívio de Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th minute Dida Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Fernando Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Friburguense AC's zone, Arthur Furtado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldir Sena came out of the goal and Arthur Furtado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 93 minutes, Jonathan Paiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Friburguense AC and the Campestrinho SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jonathan Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Arthur Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dida Martins succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 96th playminute. The Friburguense AC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Campestrinho SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
