Independiente's Florentino Cidro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Oskitz in the 7th minute of play. In the 11th minute Gustavo Domenec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Cidro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Loiola in the 16th minute of play forced C.A. Independiente's goalkeeper Florentino Cidro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Oskitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Florentino Cidro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Flavio Oskitz's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. 34 minutes into the match, Flavio Oskitz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Florentino Cidro. In the 46th minute, Cultural's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Baldomero Baleren fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baldomero Baleren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nicanor Theobald took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliciano Napier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, C.A. Independiente's Baldomero Baleren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicanor Theobald narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cultural's goalkeeper Nicanor Theobald, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ivan Loiola kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Nicanor Theobald showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Baleren in the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th match minute, C.A. Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliciano Napier to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Gustavo Domenec fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Florentino Cidro, passed just outside the right post. The audience was convinced that Flavio Oskitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Florentino Cidro was relentless in the 99th minute of the game. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cultural had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
