In the 5thth minute of the game Efrain Jerano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Suriyaco's Astor Bermund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 8th minute, Suriyaco's Humberto Ubendu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Herluf Akland. Herluf Akland yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After having played for 14 minutes, Humberto Ubendu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Suriyaco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Humberto Ubendu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Humberto Ubendus short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Herluf Akland to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Suriyaco's Astor Bermund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Toli in the 19th minute of play. Mauro Toli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Astor Bermund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31stth minute of the game Efrain Jerano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Suriyaco's Astor Bermund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 32nd minute, Amador Laffitte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 37 minutes into the game, Efrain Jerano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Astor Bermund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Humberto Ubendu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Amador Laffitte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Suriyaco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DEZAR FC the free kick. Astor Bermund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Efrain Jerano in the 54th minute. Cornelio Abecia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Suriyaco's goal looked a bit too open when Efrain Jerano came free, but Astor Bermund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Suriyaco getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Cayetano Jordy hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Suriyaco's zone, Mauro Toli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astor Bermund came out of the goal and Mauro Toli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 78thth minute of the game Efrain Jerano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Suriyaco's Astor Bermund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Herluf Akland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benito Teofilio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cornelio Abecia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Efrain Jerano struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Astor Bermund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DEZAR FC. Astor Bermund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Toli in the 87th minute of the match.
