Astor Bermund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulysses de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Astor Bermund managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when Falckner's Tomás Quirce fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 6 minutes into the game, Falckner's Tomás Quirce nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Astor Bermund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 9th minute, Arnulfo Ellande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute, Turo Brilhante had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 13 minutes, Ladislao Paublo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Suriyaco and the Falckner players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th minute, Ladislao Paublo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Falckner's Ulysses de Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomás Quirce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Benito Teofilio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Suriyaco defense, Tomás Quirce kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Astor Bermund. The Suriyaco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Astor Bermund should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Falckner's Tobias Iigo got a free kick in the 25th minute. Amador Laffitte hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Benito Teofilio kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After 32 minutes, Victorio Ler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Suriyaco and the Falckner players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 32 played minutes Suriyaco got a freekick which was hit by Victorio Ler. Astor Bermund made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Tomás Quirce sent off a good shot on target. In the 34th minute, Falckner's Tomás Quirce dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. After 38 played minutes Suriyaco got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Ubendu. Falckner's Eliseo Astudillo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 40th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Astor Bermund but with some difficulty. When Falckner's Tomás Quirce in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Suriyaco's goalie prevented a goal.

The supporters of Falckner booed when Suriyaco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Laffitte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Astor Bermund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Quirce in the 67th minute of play. Falckner's Silvano Atarrabi has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 68th minute. Astor Bermund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomás Quirce's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. After 74th play minutes Tomás Quirce shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Astor Bermund and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 81st minute Tomás Quirce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Bermund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Astor Bermund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Quirce in the 83rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás Quirce in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Astor Bermund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Astor Bermund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomás Quirce's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. After 91 played minutes Suriyaco got a freekick which was hit by Arnulfo Ellande. If Tomás Quirce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Suriyaco's Victorio Ler got a free kick in the 94th minute. Astor Bermund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Quirce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Falckner's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
