After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Saverio Gipuzkoa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Douglas Haig's supporters rose to their feet, but Saverio Gipuzkoa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When Filomeno Gaur fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Club's protests and gave Filomeno Gaur a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Sporting Club got a freekick which was hit by Filomeno Gaur. Douglas Haig's Faustino Ignado couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sporting Club. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Saverio Gipuzkoa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Douglas Haig's supporters rose to their feet, but Saverio Gipuzkoa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Saverio Gipuzkoa to make the kick off. A collision led to Douglas Haig getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Hipolito Belasko hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Domingo Oliverio sped through Sporting Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Juan Hegoi. Hipolito Belasko charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hipolito Belasko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 60 played minutes Douglas Haig got a freekick which was hit by Hipolito Belasko. Juan Hegoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Oliverio in the 62nd minute of play. Domingo Oliverio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saverio Gipuzkoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Juan Hegoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute Saverio Gipuzkoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Hegoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juan Hegoi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Domingo Oliverio in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Hegoi saved Sporting Club from getting behind. If Eduardo Rosio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
